The Secret to being Brilliant

Brilliance- a fine word that is often associated with those at the top of their game.

Michael Jordan, Le Bron James, Denzel Washington, Amitabh Bachchan, Roger Federer.  All these are just a few of the great names we know who are indeed brilliant at what they do.

But as brilliant as they may be, they are where they are because of more than just brilliance.

You see, plenty of folks out there have brilliance.  Yet, they don’t have brilliant results.

They have brilliance, but it never crystallizes into something solid, something of magnitude.

Because they fail to hang in, long enough for it to be witnessed.

Take note. Brilliance is only an ingredient of those who are successful.

Brilliant people are where they are because of their Resilience.

“Success happens when your resilience outshines your brilliance.” – Kevin Abdulrahman

Take Roger for example.  To this day considered the best tennis player the world has ever seen.  His 17th Grand Slam title wasn’t won because of his sheer brilliance.

This guy plays brilliant tennis every time he goes on court.  But he doesn’t win every time.

In many quarter finals, semi-finals and finals he has found himself in commanding positions and with all his brilliance, he lost.

Roger is the greatest because of his resilience.  The resilience of having to go through 9 grand slams between winning two titles (when many would just throw in the metaphoric towel).

Whatever you’re into, and whatever you’re striving for, realize that it will be your resilience that will dictate how brilliant you will become.

Until we meet in person,

Get Inspired, Get Informed & Get Going!!!
